The Fall of Orc is a finalist in the first Xfire WoW Movie Contest in 2006.
The story of the movie is a traditional love one, where the antagonist is jelly for the protagonist etc. Won't spoil the story any further, just watch the movie and act surprised.
We used some pretty high technology while recording the movie. As I recall, a computer called "The Ultimate Gaming Experience" was used as an acting unit and as a Wowemu 1.5.0 (vanilla) server (for the Doom scene). The computer had an AMD Athlon Thunderbird 1 GHz processor, 512 MB of SDRAM, an Elsa Gladiac 511 Geforce 2 MX 64 MB AGP graphics card and Windows XP. WoW simply doesn't work with that kind of hardware anymore. The computer got it's name because the room where the movie was captured was kinda small and the player sat on the computer case. The most powerful computer in the room was reserved for Fraps capturing (AMD Athlon64 2.4 GHz 3800+, 1.5 GB DDR, ATi Radeon X600 PCI-e 256 MB). Recorded in 2006 in World of Warcraft.
